about

Inspired by late-1980's-to-early-1990's experimental electronica (The Geinoh Yamashiro Gumi, Dogon, Tsuyoshi Kon, Keishi Urata, and The Future Sounds of London) "NeoNoir" is an exploration of a cyberpunk future -- a fractured, mind-bending, neon-lit environment meant to invoke the works of William Gibson and Greg Egan. Recorded and mixed in one day and played entirely by hand, this album is intended as a single, continuous experience -- so grab your substance of choice, kick back, and let the sound envelope you.

"The hissing noisy glitches, ambient strings and simple dramatic use of percussion build tension and add an overwhelmingly cinematic feel across the seven tracks. 'Street Level' in particular conjures up images of a dark decaying high tech cityscape straight out of Bladerunner'. While the likes of 'Net Jack', and 'Countless Wonders' evoke the physical and virtual components of cyberspace." -- Sean M. Palfrey, Intravenous Magazine
